Allison’s yoga journey began after a battle with her own recovery from substance use, eating disorder and codependency. During this trying time, in order to find some grounding, she began working with various therapists and studying spirituality. All the therapeutic work was beneficial, however, she found that combining this work with the body (yoga and breath) made the most drastic difference. What she did not consciously realize at the time was that her attention was gradually being shifted from the external world to the internal world. She began learning how to create a relationship with herself that centered around compassion, curiosity and love; not judgment and criticism.
Allison has a desire to share what she has learned with others and to offer them tools that will facilitate healing and a healthy intimate relationship with themselves and others.
